Contemporary Comedic Genius: Mel Brooks and Friends

Description
Mr. Marshall returns for another season of Comedic Genius with a tribute to that master of funny films, Mel Brooks. Using commentary and an assortment of film clips, he’ll examine the back stories and contexts of Brooks’ most notable works: The Producers, Young Frankenstein, and Blazing Saddles. Marshall also offers us a glance at Make a Noise, a documentary about Brooks. And if time allows, he’ll step outside Mel’s movie world for a look at the careers of Zero Mostel, Gene Wilder, and Richard Pryor, the stars in his three finest films. As Max Bialystock crowed: “If you’ve got it, flaunt it, baby!  Flaunt it!”
