Metropolitan Opera Season

Description
The Metropolitan Opera in New York presents real-time performances in movie theatres across the nation. Ms. Mauch invites us to join her for discussions of the second five operas of the MET’s 2016-2017 season. She’ll use CDs and DVDs to make vivid her exploration of the historical, musical, and theatrical high points of the quintet. The season continues with “Rusalka,” followed by “La Traviata,” “Idomenio,” “Eugene Onegin,” and “Der Rosenkavalier.” Whether you are a newcomer to opera or a veteran, here’s a chance to deepen your appreciation of the medium’s irresistible mix of music, drama, and visual splendor.
