Tomb Treasures

Description
OLLI’s docent-led tour of “Tomb Treasures,” a new exhibit at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, features remarkable objects from the royal tombs of China’s Han dynasty. Han royalty built lavishly furnished tombs, contrived to ensure that no need would go unmet in the afterlife. The array of objects ranges from the utensils of every-day life to stocks of weapons, all in place for future use. And the Han nobility spared no expense to provide the luxury items they thought necessary for the good life. Join us for a stroll through this rare selection of treasures from the artistic and elegant Han royal court.
