Ms. Dresser shares with us her 20 plus years of experience at recapturing family history, including exploration of the nooks and crannies of the Web. She offers insights into how genealogy, oral reminiscences, and documents can all be woven together into a comprehensive story about a family’s past. Her lore is rich and varied, and even offers tips regarding how to overcome writer’s block and other pitfalls in assembling such accounts. Whether it’s the recipe for Aunt Lucy’s peach pie or the story behind the Civil War sword stored in the attic, let Ms. Dresser and OLLI show you how to assemble a family’s history and remind you of the value of doing so.
