Course Description
Come join us for a discussion of Barbara Kingsolver’s Demon Copperhead, winner of both this year’s Pulitzer Prize and Women’s Prize for Fiction. In her stand-alone novel, Kingsolver has ingeniously transplanted the world of Dickens’s David Copperfield into that of our contemporary Appalachian Mountains. Discussion questions will be emailed prior to the class meeting. Dr. Fox will also supply a brief overview of David Copperfield (which you don’t have to read).
