Course Description
There are examples within the history of the Western film genre that overtly contrast critical perspectives against genre expectations. Usually, this means there is someone in the story, sometimes a chronicler, who evokes genre expectations, and someone who speaks against that. Together, we will study and probe ten reflective Westerns released during the past 50 years. (ONLINE)
Note that the class will skip Wednesday, March 8th and Wednesday, April 12th for the Monthly Member Lectures
