Course Description
A distinctly California story, Russell City is a place whose social and cultural history spans 500 years. First as home to the Yrgin Ohlone; later as an arrival place for immigrants and migrants: Danes, Germans, Spanish, Italians, and later Mexicans, Okies, and Blacks. What was the appeal of this site that would eventually be named Russell City? Why does it no longer exist?
