Course Description

Either bold in public or quietly in the shadows, women inspired and participated in the development of Surrealist art and literature in the early 20th century.
Starting in Paris, we will examine the reasons for the movement and follow artists to Mexico, the United States, and worldwide, including Leonora Carrington,
Remedios Varo, and Frida Kahlo.
