I will trace the evolution of the image of the female form in art history and the importance of it’s enduring cultural impact on gender
roles, identity, effects of the media, validity of symbolism, the prescribed position of the images in society and the fallacy of the
Beauty Myth. I will discuss the masterpieces by male artists and what female artists are creating.
