Course Description

One of the most influential artists of his time, Robert Rauschenberg combined painting, collage, and sculpture – working with photography, newspaper ads, items scavenged from city streets, a vat of bubbling mud, even a stuffed goat and his own bed. He helped bridge the gap between the Abstract Expressionism of the 1940s -1950s and the Pop art of the 1960s.
