Course Description

Love to read but don’t want to commit to an entire novel?  Join us for a virtual class to discuss short stories. Over the course of our five-week session, we will discuss five short stories from The Penguin Book of the Modern American Short Story, edited by John Freeman

A complete list of  the stories, short author biographies, and discussion questions will be provided for students before the first day of class. In each class meeting, the teacher will introduce the author and social context for the story of the week and the literary element which will be our primary focus for the meeting. Then we will get the discussion rolling. We will finish the class with a recap of the discussion questions.   ONLINE- LAST CLASS IN-PERSON
