Business cycles are like an economic roller coaster. Three of the biggest cycles over the past 100 years were the Great Depression of the 1930s, the Great Recession of 2007-2009, and the current Pandemic Recession. Dr. Gruenstein will discuss how lessons learned from the earlier events have enabled the U.S. to fare better this time with jobs and production. We’ll also explore current challenges like inflation, supply chains, and inequality. Perhaps OLLI and Dr. Gruenstein can help us know what the coaster ride ahead is like. That’s worth a close look.
