Course Description

This course will explore the fascinating question, “Who Gets to Call it Art?” in the context of the period from 1960–2000, of “after modern art.” Contemporary art can be challenging and beautiful – but also provocative and disturbing. This course presents a new look at the controversial period between 1960 and 2000 when art and its traditional forms were called into question. (IN-PERSON)
