We use streams of words daily, yet rarely reflect on how each one functions. What exactly is a word, anyway? How do words convey meaning, how do we store them in our brains, and how and why do they differ from language to language? Ah, so many words, so many questions! Professor Scovel invites us to look for answers with him.  Language and the world of words are always with us, so much so we tend to take them for granted and seldom reflect objectively about just what they are. Join OLLI and Professor Scovel for an engaging and insightful look at how we remember, retrieve, and then employ a torrent of words each day.
