Course Description

Dann Zinn, saxophonist and current director of jazz studies at CSUEB, and Dave Eshelman, trombonist and former director together with their band mates will feature the music of jazz great Joe Henderson, a long-time bay area resident, tenor saxophonist and composer.

They will offer an exploration of the history, styles, and techniques of jazz, that unique American musical genre.  These two masters and their talented band will perform, talk to us about what they are up to, and take questions from the audience.

Join us to savor the music and learn more about how jazz artists work their magic.  Shelterers-in-place unite: we have nothing to lose but ennui and musical lore to gain!

Details about this special event will be updated, announced on the website, and by email for registered participants according to changing health guideline
