OLLI and Mr. Jordan offer a celebration of William Shakespeare, the world’s most famous playwright, on his four hundredth and second anniversary. Mr. Jordan, in appropriate costume, will explore the life and times of the Bard, but most importantly remind us of the litany of words, phrases, and sayings Shakespeare has made a part of our everyday discourse. If you claim to be more sinned against than sinning, or refer to your salad days, or declare it’s all Greek to me, you’re quoting Shakespeare, and Mr. Jordan will act out just which scenes these and many others graced. All the world’s a stage. Come be reminded of the parts you too have played on it!

This lecture will take place at Lake Park, 1850 Alice Street, Oakland, CA 94612.
