Course Description

The Trump-Kim summit was declared a success by both sides, but talks collapsed and tensions between the US and North Korea continue to rise. North Korea is again launching ballistic missiles. Will erratic behavior and aggressive rhetoric and actions result in conflict? Dr. Baker will discuss the importance of the Koreas to their neighbors and world commerce. He will examine why North Korea acts in a belligerent fashion, and whether there is a credible threat to the security of the USA and its allies. US and allied options such as diplomacy, sanctions, and war will be explained, along with a way forward using constructive engagement. North Korea is in the headlines. Here’s a chance to get some informed insight into what’s going on behind the big print. (ONLINE)
