Course Description

Hidden in plain sight, victims of human trafficking are visible around us but never identified as people subjected to exploitation as laborers or sex workers.  We often do not see them because we do not know what to look for. Ms. Anderson will show us how traffickers use force, fraud, and coercion to entrap for profit some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, and these oppressors often escape accountability for their misdeeds.  Anderson’s experience as a prosecutor in human trafficking cases and as an expert on trafficking for the Department of Justice, the State Department, and scores of human trafficking task forces around the country give her deep insights into this nefarious trading in human lives.  Allow OLLI and Ms. Anderson to share them with you.
