Are you interested in presenting a lecture or course for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Cal State East Bay?
Our programs are designed to stimulate thinking and discussion among participants. Instructors do not assign homework or give tests; however, participants welcome a reading list for further exploration of the topic. Most participants have postsecondary degrees and are retired but engaged in various activities. They joined the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Cal State East Bay for the intellectual stimulation of lifelong learning.
Programs are offered at the Cal State East Bay Concord Campus and Online. Lectures are offered at Stoneridge Creek Senior Residence in Pleasanton. Instructors are compensated based on the length of the program.
Program scheduling takes place up to six months before the program delivery date. Program proposals are accepted on a continuous basis. Cal State East Bay faculty, emeriti, Continuing Education instructors, Subject matter experts, and other scholars with teaching experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
To apply, please review the types of programs we feature on the Upcoming Events page and then complete a Program Proposal Form . One proposal per form please, but there is no need to repeat contact and availability information. Send one copy of the program proposal(s) with one short curriculum vitae to:
